Changes in V7
Overview
"Powerful support for project management with resource planner and notification functions"
The new version of "TimeTracker NX 7" provides the following functions to streamline man-hour management and project management.
- Draw plans from the Gantt chart based on the person in charge "Resource Planner"
- Identify project problems and members with high loads without opening TimeTracker NX "Notifications"
- Enter actual results on the spot even when you are out and about and cannot use a computer "Enter man-hours from a mobile device"
In addition, performance has been significantly improved by adding many new functions and applying the latest framework.
Here, we will introduce the functions supported by TimeTracker NX 7.
New Features
Resource Planner
Supports item allocation to members considering resource load
You can assign items based on the person in charge.
The load of the person in charge is displayed in real time, so you can change the allocation to another person in charge and level the load.
The allocation results are also reflected in the Gantt chart.
Understand the progress of the project and assign the optimal resources to improve productivity.

Notifications
Notify of projects with delays or cost overruns, and users with high workloads
Regular reports on labor input status and project summaries.
Instead of simply notifying you of changes, we will notify you of points to note in project management/labor management when problems occur.
Example) Delayed or cost-overrun projects, users who forgot to enter labor hours or have high workloads
Notify not only of problems, but also information to be entered in retrospect and upcoming tasks.
You can easily grasp the situation even if TimeTracker NX is not open.
This function is realized by installing the dedicated app 'TimeTracker Reporting' on the client PC.

Enter actual times from a mobile device
Even in an environment where there is no PC, you can enter actual results from your mobile device.
Even if you are out or it is difficult to take a PC with you, you can accumulate correct results by entering them the same way as from a PC.
iPhone and Android devices are also supported.

Project summary/progress monitor
Understand project status and quickly detect changes
You can view the status of all managed projects at once.
You can check not only labor hours and costs, but also EV (Earned Value: an indicator for project progress management).

You can also quickly detect changes in the status of a specific project by displaying the "progress of the status" of the project in a graph.

Burndown Chart
Understand project progress at a glance
By displaying the planned man-hours and remaining work hours on a daily basis, you can visualize not only the discrepancy between the plan and actual results, but also the performance of your team.
You can predict future progress from past work volume, making it easier to forecast the expected completion date and the amount of resources required.
Flexibly adjust your plan according to changes in progress.

Custom search
Freely filter items across projects
"Cost overrun cases" "Items updated yesterday" "List of defects" "List of reports across projects" etc.
Have you ever wanted to create a list with specific conditions from multiple projects?
You can freely combine conditions to output the items you need in list format.
There's no need to open each project one by one to search.

Milestone Summary
Check work milestones for multiple projects at once
When managing the progress of multiple projects, it can be difficult to check each detailed item.
Check whether there are any delays by focusing on project milestones such as "Plan agreement", "Budget fixed", and "Delivery".
With the Milestone Summary, you can see at a glance the planned/actual results/delays of milestones across projects.

Project calendar display
Monthly view to see project plans and events at a glance
Project schedules are displayed on a monthly basis.
If you are worried that the display range is limited on the Gantt chart or that you want to see member holidays at a glance,
why not check the project schedule on a monthly basis?
You can also create items such as milestones on the spot.

- There is no need to reopen the items when returning from another page.
- Enhanced keyword filter for work item tree
- Up until V6, the project name and the end item name were the targets, but now all item names are targeted.
Work items
- Undo
- Don't worry if you make a mistake on the Gantt table or Gantt chart. Use "Ctrl+Z" to return to the state before the change.
- Open the desired item immediately with favorite folder
- Even if there are many folders in the Gantt table, you can quickly open the folder you registered in advance.

Others
- API key
- No password entry is required when using the target function.

In addition to the above, processing speed has increased by 30% from TimeTracker NX V6 (compared to our environment).
Environment
Access one DB from multiple AP servers
Up until V6, one DB could be accessed by one server PC.
From V7, one DB can be accessed by multiple AP servers.

*No.3 is now supported.
If you are worried about the load on your AP server due to multiple users accessing one AP server,
split the server to distribute the load.
Bug fixes
- System administration
- Work item screen
- Depending on the timing of deleting a project, the actual times entered in the timesheet may not be reflected in the actual times field of the item
- If a milestone is set for the start date/end date of a child item, the determination method becomes "User input value" when moving the folder
- Pivot analysis
- If only the project code is specified in the row, it becomes uncategorized
- Dashboard
- When the number of data items displayed in the "Man-hour Input Monitor" widget is set to one in monthly display, only the man-hours for the current day are displayed.
- My Page
- When the group is set to "Period," items whose planned end date has not yet passed are also included in the expired group.
- Web API
- The date format of the calendar information differs depending on whether or not a project ID is included in the Web API for project acquisition.
