Defining Process Classification

Overview

Process classification is information for subdividing work items from a process perspective.
By assigning a process classification when entering actual man-hours, you can aggregate actual man-hours at a finer level than with work items.
Using process classification eliminates the need to separate work items, reducing the number of work items.

This section introduces how to use process classification.

Common Procedure

To define a process classification, first perform the following steps as a common prerequisite:

  1. Click your login name in the TimeTracker RX global navigation.


  2. Select "System Settings".

  3. Click "Item Type" in the local navigation.

  4. Select "Process Classification" from the left menu.

Adding and Deleting Process Classifications

Adding

Add a process classification that aggregates actual man-hours at a more detailed level than work item.
The added process classification can be made available in the project settings.
If the work item is a deliverable such as a program, it is convenient to set each development process using process classification.

Procedure

  1. Click the "+" icon at the top of the process classification list.

  2. Enter the process classification information in the "Create Process Classification" dialog.

    The input fields are as follows:

    No.ItemDescription

    2CodeCode to identify the process classification
    3ColorColor to display the process classification
    4DescriptionDescription of the process classification
  3. Click the "OK" button.

Deleting

You can delete unnecessary process classifications using the following steps.
Process classifications already used in the project can be continued to be used.

  1. Select the process classification to delete.

  2. Click the "-" icon at the top of the process classification list.

Restoring Deleted Process Classifications

You can restore deleted process classifications using the following steps.
Use this if you accidentally deleted a process classification or want to reuse a deleted one.

  1. Select "Deleted" in the "Filter".
  2. Select the target process classification. Multiple selections are possible.
  3. Click "Actions" at the top of the process classification list.
  4. Select "Restore".

Changing Process Classifications

You can change the definition of added process classifications later.
The display order of process classifications set here will be reflected in all projects.
It cannot be changed in individual projects.

Procedure

  1. Select the target process classification.

  2. Click the "Properties" icon in the local navigation.

  3. Click the "Edit" button.

  4. Change the process classification information.

  5. Click the "Save" button.

Adding Process Classification Groups

To group process classifications, add a group.
Grouping process classifications by type makes it easier to configure them.
Groups are added to the end of the process classification list by clicking the "Add Group" icon at the top of the process classification list.



Deleting Process Classification Groups

You can delete unnecessary process classification groups using the following steps.
You cannot delete a group if it contains active process classifications.

  1. Select the group to delete.

  2. Click the "-" icon at the top of the process classification list.
